Susan Sarandon Bio

It was 1968. Democratic Convention, and there was a casting request for a movie that featured many characters for youngsters who interrupted it. Joe (1970), was sought out by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970), two recently graduated Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon, an actor who had trained, was rejected. Susan, his wife Susan was given the coveted part as Susan Compton, the child of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill, Susan's drug dealer lover, is killed in the movie. Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot who works at an assembly line, comes across Joe (Sarandon). Janet gets involved with Dr. Frank n Furter, is the role of Janet in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). After over 15 years, Sarandon was finally able to actively advocate for Annie in Bull Durham (1988), flying herself between Rome to Los Angeles at her expense. She said "It was an incredible script... it removed a number of myths and challenged America's notion of what success is". "I went to the studio with Kevin Costner, sex some actors in the studio, and then I got back on the plane. Tim Robbins (1988), her Bull Durham supporting actor, already had two sons by the year 1992 which placed Sarandon in a position that she could leave her home and accept demanding roles. This led to four Academy Award nominations in the 1990s, and the best actress award for Dead Man Walking (1995). Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980) was her first Academy Award nomination.
