Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22nd, 1975) is an American actor. She has received numerous awards which include the Screen Actors Guild Award Award and an Golden Globe. There have also been five Emmy Award nominations as well as a BAFTA nomination and five Emmy Award nominations. She belongs to the Barrymore family, and is the great-granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore was an actor in her youth and earned recognition for her role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In the wake of a publicized childhood characterized by drug and alcohol abuse, she released her autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 1990s, she starred in several films, including PoisonIvy, Boys on the Side and Mad Love. Barrymore had a role with Adam Sandler in a few films, including The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.
